So yea,

Now I've been working at RadioShack for ... 4? 5 months?
Mike and I moved in to an apartment at Autumn Ridge Apartments in Carol Stream, two weeks ago.
And we just got a kitten 3 days ago.

Annnd,
the Mitsuwa Bon Odori Festival is this Saturday. (I'll be there most of the afternoon, maybe be there around noon)

Then getting ready for Wizard World Chicago the next weekend. (I'll be there all weekend)

My plan WAS to go as Blink from Xmen, but I never got the wig, and it wouldn't get here in time.
So now my plan is that I'll probably wear Poison Ivy or Mystique on Thurs/Fri,
then MARVEL GIRL ( JEAN) Is my big plan debut costume!!

So lets see.
My job at Radioshack @ Danada Square in Glen Ellyn should be happening soon.

Mike and I are getting a kitten, and we are probably going to go visit the breeder in a few days, since the breeder called last night.  ^___^

I went to the dentist a couple days ago... and I knew a year ago i needed to get all for of my wisdom teeth taken out. But ATM I have a couple small cavities on the sides of a couple teeth. And the gum that’s covering my bottom right wisdom tooth has an infection.
So now the dentist prescribed me penicillin. So I’m taking a 500mg pill, 4 times a day.
Ending with my tummy constantly feeling ooky.

Fuuun stuff.

And so with costuming, I have NO commissions. Which sucks…
And all that’s left is just dealing with work, which this is he first week that I’ve gotten more than 10 hours, I pretty much work everyday. And then summer classes and that homework.

Getting more hours at Old Navy because I opened up my schedule, at least till summer classes start in a couple weeks.
But now I've got an interview with the new manager at Radioshack, and that's going to be a full time job.

I'm going to see if ON will turn me full time (i doubt it), or if I should keep both jobs and try to work that out...

Le sigh.
But so "Chicago Comic Con" is soooooon.
I need to go buy my badge. And sew together my Blink costume and find the paint or liquid makeup for that...
We'll see how well that goes.

Since the pink instinct has been discontinued from Radioshack, Mike went and phoned 10 different stores in the state and found a pink one in Wheeling, IL. So they are shipping it to his store. But today I'm just buying the black one to have it, and once he gets the pink one I'm going to just go in and exchange it.

So I'm getting the Unlimited data plan, so I'll have unlimited texting, GPS, and internet access.
Then with 450 minutes a month.

Getting cosplay stuff done for NAKA kon this weekend...

Not much going on lately. Other than I'm looking for a job.

I'm getting commissions now and then. Trying to keep my grades up, and designing websites for friends and our cosplay club, and keeping those going.

^_^ Good things with small personal stuff,
Other than that ... not really much else going on.
 

Okay, This post is about three/four days late. But better late than NEVER>

But yea! We totally WON the senior year video contest (as seen in the previous post).
So here we are in Los Angeles And its great. The plane ride(s) were ... normal. Same as any other.
Lol. Other than DJ being mildly afraid of flying. Which was funny.
But pretty much we had a 7:35 am flight from O'Hare Chicago to Phoenix, Arizona, then at 10:13 from Phoenix to LA!
Made it here, waited around to see if there was a complimentary shuttle to our hotel. Found out there wasn't, and got a taxi which cost $50 with tip. XP
Then yea... got the room, everyone messed around on the free internet for a while and then we went down to the IHop that is connected to the hotel. Ate the yummies and proceded to get ready for the Premier.
The media check in was: 5:15
Guests started to show up at: 6:00
And the movie started at: 7:00

Yea. We had left Justin to get directions to the Premier,
The paper told us the Galen Center at The University of Southern California (which was later discovered).
Pretty much, to make it short. We found the bus route we wanted. And took that to UCLA.
Got there, I went to ask a campus info desk where the Galen Center was.
Yea.
Justin took us to a completely different school.
Not a big deal, it was 6pm and it was still an hour till th movie started.
Yea, figured out we went WAY out of th way. And cab fare would be near $100.
None of us has money to even be able to split that.
Justin got upset, we were sitting waiting for the Line 2 bus to come around. I called the Lady that was helping us with the contest and everything. She had given Justin and I her cell number in case of any problems. So I called her. And proceded to inform her that there was no way we'd make it. We were lost, and too far away to afford a cab, she was really understanding. And said that it was a shame we couldn't make it, but to enjoy our ini vaca and that they would get us tickets to the thursday night showing of the movie.
Which is good too.

So we prceded back to the hotel. Justin was pretty upset the whole way.
We got off the bus one stop early. and walked a couple blocks in the wrong direction. Felt like we got EXTREMELY lost. Ate at McDonalds. Foudn out we just went  a little out of the way.
But still had to walk for a while.
Got back to the room, in LOTS OF PAIN, mind you.
JessJupiter and I were in 4" heels, she ended up wearing DJ(the kid Justin brought with)'s sneakers... But my right ankle and left knee were shot, with a few more blocks to go (couldn't feel my toes either xp).
Got back... internet, tv, and vending machine food.
Bed around.... midnight/one Cali time, two/three am Chicago time.

And then I woke up around ... 8:30am(cali)/10:30(chi), typing this. Jess isn't up yet, 9:30, and then we'll go down to ihop, have breakfast. plan out what we'll do.
Probably go down the street to the beach, they have something like a Navy pier here, just with the ocean and a roller coaster.

Thats how the trip has been so far.

Then Saturday we'll proabably sleep in a little, catch a bus around 11:30/12 which, we found for MUCH cheaper than a cab, goes to LAX, to get to our plane at 3:30.

A few nights ago. I was talking to usagi_sern and one of her friends needed a wig to be styled.

For Youma Con this coming October she's doing a Temari cosplay.
So shes sending me money up front to buy her wig, get supplies and pay for some of the labor. And then paying the remainder is exchange for the wig.

Yea, apparently this commission probably isn't going to happen, because the girl broke up with her boyfriend.

Fuuuuuuuun stuff.

My first commission that's not from closer friends.

To style a wig for a Pit costume from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

 

 

I was supplied with the wig from the commission-ee, so it was a little difficult. Because the wig was a bit shorter than what I would have used.

Okay, so on Saturday my extended family was over to swim and eat dinner.

But my Aunt started to ask what I had planned for school in the future, because right now I'm attending the community college, College of Dupage.
And so she brought up the plan of the family buying a two bedroom condo and then renting it out to me during college.
So really, this is my family's plan, to buy a condo in Chicago together. But that it was mostly for me to stay in while attending a college in the city, I'll just pay them a rent, all so I don't have to commute back home.
So now they recommended thinking more about which school I want to attend and probably finding a roommate.

Also... They're talking about getting one really close to Columbia in that college area, close to Michigan Ave.
